Second annual Stand up For Kenya (“S.UP Kenya”) comedy fundraiser dedicated to raising funds for Sagam Community Hospital!

Since 1998, Sagam Community Hospital has provided healthcare to the rural communities, and neighboring villages of Siaya County, Kenya. Dr. Khama Rogo founded the hospital to solve a problem he witnessed during his upbringing in Siaya: individuals and families, lacking status or economic capacity, being denied healthcare in the big cities, and consequently experiencing unnecessary pain and sickness. Having dedicated his life to enhancing global healthcare access, Dr. Rogo built Sagam Community Hospital to provide the community with quality health care, comparable to big city hospitals.

The funds raised from this event will directly assist the hospital as it embarks on updating its imaging and dental units. The funds will also support endoscopic services at the healthcare facility.

S.UP Kenya is partnering with The Kesia Nyawra Foundation (KNIF), a 501(c)(3) tax exempt non-profit corporation to collect donations. For more information on our partner, please click here.

Internationally renowned performer, author, and lecturer Joshua Jay brings Look Closer: A New Magic Show by Joshua Jay to Mastercard Midnight Theatre. Jay returns to New York City 4 years after his critically acclaimed show, Six Impossible Things, sold out its entire 18-month off-Broadway run.

As a magician, Joshua Jay has performed his original work on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with James Corden and even successfully fooled Penn & Teller on Fool Us. Jay was also named "Magician of the Year" by the Society of American Magicians and a world champion at the World Magic Seminar. Jay has written six books on magic, including The New York Times best-selling children's book Big Magic for Little Hands and has received much praise for his most recent book, How Magicians Think, including from David Copperfield who said, “Joshua Jay is a superb, innovative conjurer with an unrelenting love of the art. This book is proof of that passion.” Jay has also designed illusions for both stage and screen, working with shows such as Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire.
