See What's Coming To Mastercard Midnight Theatre
Showcasing talent from a wide variety of entertainment including magic, music, comedy, and Broadway cabarets.
Mastercard Midnight Theatre is a new, state-of-the-art performance venue in the heart of New York’s Manhattan West (next to Hudson Yards). The ultra-glamorous, intimate 145-seat theater welcomes talent from across a wide variety of entertainment, including music, comedy, and cabaret.
It is also filled with magic and wonder that comes in the form of The Midnight Theatre. This new space just below 33rd Street (at 9th Avenue) is one of the most exciting venues this writer has witnessed in a while.
The seating arena is comfortable, roomy, and easy-going. The employees of the establishment (from seating concierge to servers) are efficient and friendly. The venue is large enough to accommodate many guests but cozy enough that the performers are not miniscule. And there are projection capabilities that allow the production to fill the entire room with photos, videos, and graphics.
Midnight Theatre, New York City's newest theater space, might look vintage, but it is anything but. While the design of the space harkens back to the Art Deco period, with gold accents, geometric patterns, and an overall glamorous vibe, the new tech specs, interactive features, and dining experiences are what set this theater apart from the rest
Mystery and intrigue are abound at the Midnight Theatre, where guests can explore a space part theatre and part salon, rub elbows and crack a wise one with Pete Davidson, or nab seats to a secret, sold-out show of a 1980s screening featuring Barbra Streisand on 16-millimeter film.
At New York City's newest performance venue, a lead actor might share scenes with digital characters on a massive screen. Audience members may find themselves transported to a California vineyard, surrounded by breathtaking views and the subtle whiff of an ocean breeze pumped in from a built-in scent machine. Or a world-class magician just might pull a rabbit out of an unsuspecting attendee's hat.
